ABSTRACT
The study goal is to establish a sensitive, accurate, simple and validated Ultra violet (UV) spectrophotometric technique by multilinear regression method for the assessment of Granisetron in the bulk drug and pharmaceutical formulations. The multivariate calibration technique relies on linear regression equations and employs correlation between absorbance and concentration at five different wavelengths. The λmax of Granisetron was at 302 nm. The results were treated statistically. A linear plot was achieved in the concentration range of 10 - 30 µmol/L and regression co-efficient was obtained to be 0.999. The percentage recovery was obtained in the range of 99.48 - 101.81 % w/w.
