Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Allied Sciences (JMPAS) enforces strict policies on plagiarism and AI use: manuscripts must be original, undergo double-blind peer review, and comply with COPE ethical standards. Authors retain copyright but must ensure proper citation, avoid AI?generated plagiarism, and follow transparency guidelines.

Submissions are checked for originality using plagiarism detection tools.

Author responsibility: Authors must ensure that:

  • JMPAS allows up to 10% plagiarism from reliable sources.
  • All sources should be properly cited.
  • No part of the manuscript is copied without attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own published work without citation) is avoided.

If plagiarism is detected more than the limit, manuscripts may be rejected or retracted.

AI-generated content:

Authors may use AI tools (e.g., for language editing or data analysis only)

JMPAS allows up to 5 % AI with disclosure.

  • AI should not be used to fabricate data, manipulate images, or generate entire manuscripts without human oversight
  • Authors must disclose AI assistance in the methodology or acknowledgements.
  • Any use of an AI tool must be documented to maintain research integrity.

Copy-pasting AI outputs without verification can lead to rejection
