Various methods of skin closure are available like subcuticular suture, adhesive tapes, staplers, etc. Subcuticular suturing is one of the skin closuring technique involving stich placement in subcuticular tissue using various suture with minimal scarring. To compare outcome of MONOCRYL (poliglecaprone 25) versus Ethilon (Monofilament Polyamide Black) suture in Subcuticular technique of skin closure. This study was conducted at Dhiraj Hospital, Smt. B.K. Shah Medical Institute and Research Centre, Suman deep Vidyapeeth Deemed to Be University (An Institution), Pipariya, Vadodara. And included total of 50 patients who were randomly divided in two groups A & B. Results were tabulated and analyzed statically to arrive at conclusion. Most of the patient belonged to 21-40 years. Female predominance was found in our study with 29 Female and 21 males. Wound Dehiscence occurred in 1 patient in Group A. 7 patients complained of Itching in Group A. Ethilon (Monofilament Polyamide Black) suture gives better result compared to MONOCRYL (poliglecaprone 25) in subcuticular wound closure.
